Spotlight On: Virgin Island Water

Mention Creed Virgin Island Water to those familiar with the fruity fresh scent and you’re likely to get a contented exhale. It’s the kind of reaction usually associated with relaxed vacationers lounging beachside, cocktails at the ready. And rightfully so; since its creation in 2007, Virgin Island Water has famously captured the spirit of tropical getaways and luxurious resorts.

This classic, created by Olivier Creed and his son, Erwin Creed, was inspired by a sailing trip near Ginger Island in the Caribbean. Capturing the exotic trade winds of the region’s Sir Francis Drake Channel in the Caribbean was the perfumers’ inspiration. The juice opens with a citrusy hit of Sicilian white bergamot, Jamaican lime and Sicilian mandarin. This accord is accompanied by a delicious copra note, from the inner flesh of the coconut. Next up: hibiscus, ylang-ylang and Indian jasmine. At the base, deep Tonkin musk, tropical wood and white rum. Simultaneously fresh and warm, this uplifting scent complements both men and women in warmer months and climates, or whenever the wearer wants to indulge in a virtual vacation. True to its fruity fragrance family, Virgin Island Water is fresh and tropical, uplifting and enticing. In other words, it’s the epitome of a classic.
